The Rab Womens Shadow Hoodie offers women the same superb jacket as the men's but with a women's specific cut and in more feminine colours. This is more than just a fleece jacket, it's a 'Super Fleece' that offers a lot more protection in varying conditions.
4 way stretch offers the climber or mountain walker a very breathable and durable mid or outer layer. During colder weather the close fitting hood will sit comfortably under a climbing helmet while the body has been cut closely so that a harness can be worn over the jacket. Long sleeves with thumb loops allow the wrists and backs of the hands to be kept warm. And if the weather does come in bad then coupled with a hardshell you have a perfect combination for winter climbing or ski touring.
The Shadow Hoodie is constructed from Polartec Wind Pro a very wind resistant fabric, in fact 4 times more wind resistant than traditional fleece, that offers high levels of breathability. The outside of the fabric has Hardface technology, a treatment that provides exceptional abrasion resistance for garment durability and protection from bad weather.

Rab Womens Shadow Hoodie Review
Reviewer: Cath, Cumbria (11-2-2012)
I've been using this hoodie for a few months now and I find so good I can't praise it enough. It keeps me warm and snug and, in the ever changing weather in the Lake District, if I get a little too hot, I just unzip it down the chin, and zip it up again when the wind picks up. The hood is such a useful feature; it's a tight hood so I can fit my hat over it easily. I find it as warm if not warmer than a scarf or neck warmer. The cord at the bottom is also useful to keep the wind away. I have waterproofed it once and the rain roll off nicely. Overall, a great product!

Rab Womens Shadow Hoodie is the best

Simply I love it.
It is beautifully warm without being bulky, and it is long enough - too many fleeces are fashionably short, and you get a cold band when you bend over, this one keeps your midriff warm. This is also a great feature when cycling and bent forward on the bike, though it needs to be cold before you would wear it for cycling as it is very cosy. The arms are quite slim-fitting - you couldn't wear too many long-sleeved layers under it, but it does stop it being bulky. In short, I love it - shows as I now have two.

Rab Womens Shadow Hoodie Review
Reviewer: Hannah Vickers, Godmanchester (7-2-2011)
I was very nearly blown away (quite literally) by the impressive performance of this jacket when myself and a couple of friends headed up our local mountain at the weekend (on Spitsbergen). With a temperature of -9 at sea level and 40mph gusts at the top of the mountain, I had my doubts whether I should have brought my down jacket with me. I had no need to worry though. Wearing this hoodie over a wool base layer and the Rab Photon hoodie over the top, I felt comfortably warm - the windy weather felt pretty much like a non-effect! (Having said that I also had two pairs of over-trousers on too).
Not with standing the sheer warmth of this thing, it also looks amazing in the deep amethyst colour, feels amazing (think fleece on the inside, Powerstretch feel on the outside) and has groovy little thumb loops as well (which I have been wanting to have on a jacket for like, ages)!
And my only complaint? That there isn't a tights/trouser version to complete the outfit yet. Rab - get onto the case!
