Rab Paradox Pull-On

Rab Paradox Pull-On

The Rab Paradox Pull On is a lightweight pull on that works well as either a mid or outer layer. Designed to be worn much like a fleece but with the added benefits and a super stretch outer fabric and a high level of wind resistance.

To the front is a deep YKK zip which allows for venting as well as ensuring a good closure from the elements. The combination of hi-gauge polyester fabrics, as a mesh lining and knit outer, ensures moisture can be moved away from the body quickly through the insulating Alpha layer.

Polartec Alpha is a very lightweight insulation that's ideal for when you're working hard. Made from a light woven fleece it is highly breathable and will wick moisture fast. Alpha is not as warm as Primaloft, Coreloft or down but is ideal when you want more than just a windshirt but with low bulk and insulating properties.

Rab Paradox Pull On Features

  • Polartec Alpha insulation - 60g/mĀ²
  • Outer - hi-gauge polyester stretch knit
  • Inner - hi-gauge polyester mesh
  • YKK lightweight front zip
  • Internal zip flap with chin guard
  • Elasticated cuffs
  • Half hem drawcord

This is a great piece of kit under the right circumstances. The sleeves are long reaching my knuckles. They are elasticated but not tightly and there is no way to cinch them in even tighter. This is not really a problem but it is worth noting. On a recent walk at about 7-8C I completed the first half wearing my Rab Vapour rise jacket and the second half wearing the paradox. At no time did I wear anything underneath them. I found the Paradox to be warmer probably because of its closer fit, but it was a little less windproof, or at least that's how it felt to me. Neither are particularly wind resistant and I can only wear either in calm conditions or with a light breeze. The Paradox is very comfortable worn next to the skin. I'd rate it's warmth equivalent to that of a mid weight fleece. So it's good, good enough that I now own 2!
