The Rab PS Pant is as comfortable next to the skin as a baselayer or, when extra warmth is required, as a midlayer . The durable fabric has been stitched using flatlock seams for comfort and offers exceptional levels of breathability and moisture transfer. These are ideal for those mountain sports where unrestricted mobility is key, making them ideal for winter climbing, ski touring and trekking in the mountains.
Polartec Power Stretch fabric is principally a four way stretch fabric that hugs the body and is made of two layers. The outer durable layer has a smooth finish and offers good wind resistance, while the soft inner layer wicks moisture quickly keeping you dry and warm. The great thing about Power stretch is that it can be worn as a super warm baselayer, as a insulating midlayer or as a wind resistant outer layer.

I wear these as a base layer with a Gore-tex shell over for snowboarding, very warm, good fit (happy with them over socks inside boots as they fit well - have heard of some people making them 3/4 length to stop at boot top though). If over freezing I use a thin merino base layer instead.
