The Rab Generator Pull On is a near perfect insulated layering piece. In milder conditions it can be used as an outer layer as it has good weather resistant qualities. In harsher weather, particularly when it's wet and windy, as a mid layer under a shell jacket providing warmth.
The lightweight Pertex Quantum outer fabric offers excellent wind resistance and with it's DWR finish will turn light precipitation and shed snow. Primaloft One insulation ensures excellent warmth for such a light weight jacket. Primaloft is also treated to ensure that it repels water, so if the jacket does get wet the insulation will keep working. Synthetic filled jackets are particularly well suited to cold and wet conditions, though not as warm as down they still work when wet.
As a lightweight insulated jacket, that packs away into it's own pocket, this is perfect for the weight concious adventure racer, ski tourer and light weight backpacker. Though I have used one for many years in winter for bouldering in really cold conditions.

Marmot Power Stretch Wrist Gaiter

I heard from a friend and from a couple of winter climbing reviews that these were a fantastic purchase for anyone who suffers from poor circulation in the hands. I've just returned from a week of climbing in the Cairngorms where I used these wrist gaiters, and for the first time I didn't completely loose the feeling in my hands and fingers and then consequently suffer from terrible hot aches!
I couldn't rate this product more, the amount of warmth that they trap around your wrists is unbelievable and it makes a massive difference to the circulation to your fingers! They are an absolute bargain and I recommend them to anyone whether or not you get cold hands!

This top is very warm and light! I have found it a perfect multi activity top for the winter over the top of a micro fleece or under a hardshell if it’s really pelting down. When you fold it down and put it in your pack you don’t really notice the difference!
The blue fabric is very shiny, something I am not a fan of but I am hoping with a bit more use it will dull down.The zip is nice and long on the front making it very easy to put on and take off. The front pockets are really deep and store stuff in the quite securely even though there are no zips on them. The front is also insulated so keeps your hands nice and warm.
Would definitely recommend.
