Rab Demand Pull On

The Rab Demand Pull On is made from the lightest 3 layer eVent fabric. It is a true minimalist pull-on waterproof jacket that has been designed for the Alpine climber requiring the best performing fabrics at the absolute minimum weight.
To achieve this Rab have used a deep chest zip rather than full length, taping non-critical seams with narrow seam tape, using a single exit half hem drawcord and replacing velcro tabs with elasticated cuffs. This minimum lightweight approach ensures that the Demand will be of use to the fast and light adventure racer, ski tourer and lightweight backpacker.
The eVent fabric uses direct venting technology, more breathable than Gore-tex but requiring more care to maintain performance. Read Difference between Gore-Tex and eVent for more information.

I use this smock for walking in the Lake District and to have in my pack for trail running. Its lightweight and packs into a small "grapefruit" size stuff sack that comes with it. Had it for 6 months and have been impressed with how robust it is. I was surprised how well it survived a day long downpour on Blencathra in a howling gale. Have also been impressed with the "breathability" of the fabric and the hood can be fitted closely to protect the old head. When you don't need it, it takes up hardly any space in your pack.
