Primus OmniLite Ti

The Primus OmniLite Ti is in part made from Titanium in order to achieve the absolute minimum weight for a multi fuel stove. Ensuring it's a great choice for lightweight adventurers travelling to areas of the world where there is uncertainty in fuels available and it's ability to burn a selection of fuels could be crucial..

The OmniLite Ti is based on the award winning Omnifuel stove, though it's a little smaller and a whole load more fuel efficient. It is capable of burning either gas, petrol, paraffin or aviation fuel so getting fuel should not be a problem. The titanium supports have been designed for use with Eta Pots and their Heat Exchangers enabling for fast and fuel efficient cooking. Though the stove can be used with other pots. The OmniLite Ti comes with a 0.35 litre fuel bottle that is pressurised with the pump allowing for a constant flame..

This is the first omnifuel stove I've bought, and so far it's been perfect. I'd definitely recommend taking it apart and reassembling at home to familiarise yourself with it, at least if, like me, you've never used a similar stove before. Since the fuel is connected via a tube, unlike the screw-on gas stoves I'm used to, it's much more stable, and therefore safer if you're boiling pots of water. It ships with a durable case, though this seems far too big, given that the stove unit fits in the palm of your hand, and the fuel bottle isn't much bigger, but it's useful for keeping the tiny jets together. Finally, the description says it ships with a windshield, but the only things resembling this were two sheets of aluminium, one rectangular and another circular... I haven't been able to find anything about this, but I'd suggest forking out for a cheap foldable windshield to improve the efficiency.
