The Petzl Tikka XP offers a powerful and adjustable LED white light with a 50m beam (boost mode) that can be used on economy mode to have a burn time of 120H. Power and duration from a single light source. The Tikka XP uses an unregulated LED roughly equivalent to a 1 watt LED, power output 40 lumens in boost mode. Petzl are secretive about the exact specs of their LEDs but give the lumens output.

Uses 3 x AAA batteries. Rechargeable batteries can be used with the Tikka XP, but Petzl recommend not to use Lithium batteries. Read HERE for more info.

I am a community first responder part of a team of volunteers that works with the local ambulance service. I volunteer in the evening.

The petzl xp with its 'boost' button is absolutely fantastic, it's powerful, perfect for picking out house numbers from your car and lighting the path for crews taking patients out to the ambulance. It replaces my significantly large and heavy maglite, it's bright, light and very compact.
