This is the belt version of the New Myo XP. The Myo XP Belt features the same head unit as the standard Myo XP but with a belt mounted battery pack to reduce the on head weight. The battery lead has a quick disconnect to make threading the lead easier and the battery pack can be replaced with a rechargeable battery pack (sold seperately). Ideal for use in cold environments as you can keep your batteries warm and get better performance out of them. The Myo XP Belt also features a permanent top strap rather than the optional one with the standard Myo XP.
New and Improved version of the Myo XP Belt. The New Myo XP Belt has an upgraded LED which gives both a greater light output and a longer battery life over the original version.
The Myo XP Belt is a fantastic headtorch for the demanding user. The single LED in boost mode provides 150 Lumens output which gives a 97m beam with fresh alkaline batteries but when used on economic mode will provide a 24m beam for 30 hours and continue to be useable for 180 hours. Weighing just 175g including the 3 AA batteries means the Myo XP can be used for any sport and in any situation.
High power single LED with unregulated output. Please click here for further explanation.
Weighs 100g (torch) + 75g (3 x AA Alkaline Batteries)
3 power levels plus boost and flashing modes.
Boost mode increases the light output of full power by 75% but can only be used in 20 second bursts. Ideal for looking into the far distance.
Storm proof construction
Tilting head unit for precise lighting
Flip up diffuser offering penetrating beam or wide proximity lighting
Battery life indicator warns when the batteries are approx 70% and 90% drained
Push button operation
Adjustable elasticated headband with optional top strap
Uses 3 x AA batteries. Petzl recommend
not to use Lithium batteries. Read HERE
for more info. Petzl also recommend that rechargeable batteries can be used with the Myo XP produced after summer 2008, if your
Myo XP is compatible with rechargeable batteries then engraved on the inside of the battery case is "RECHARGEABLE
BATTERY COMPATIBLE". For more information click HERE.

Petzl Myo XP Belt Review
Reviewer: Ben, Newcastle Upon Tyne (3-3-2010)
Very good head torch for running and cold conditions. When running I prefer the weigh off my head and on the waist. When its cold the remote battery pack can easily be kept warm. The torch is easy to use though a slight fiddle with mitts on. The lock-off works well and I have never accidentally switched it on. If you give the torch to someone else I find that you generally need to explain how it works so its use is clearly not too obvious. The lighting power is good and the batteries last a predictably long time. It provides a bigger beam than you every really need for most outdoor usage. It seems quite water resistant and has survived complete submersion in a river on several occasions. A bit heavier than many torches but if you want long battery life in cold conditions over many days this is the ideal torch.
