Petzl GriGri £45.00

The Gri Gri is a self braking decender and sport climbing belay device. It is for use on single ropes 10-11 mm UIAA dynamic rope (9.7 accepted). It is possible to take in and pay ouy very smoothly and quickly with the gri gri, and it will lock on abseiling if the user lets go of it. While belaying, it's camming action means that a sudden pull on the rope will lock the device, while a more gentle pull will allow the rope to feed. It is not a hands off belay device but rather an aid to security. The sport climber's choice
