The Petzl Elia is an innovative lightweight climbing helmet designed around the needs of women. The new Omega cradle system is tailored specifically to female head shapes whilst a redesigned adjustment system allows the helmet to be worn more comfortably over long hair and ponytails. The fit system folds back into the helmet for carrying ensuring that you won't damage the Elia in transit.

The foam padding inside the Elia is all removable for washing and to adjust fit, this makes this the most comfortable womens-specific helmet on the market and an ideal choice for cragging as well as mountaineering.

The Elia is sized smaller than the Elios, its unisex equivalent (see Related Products below) and comes in a single size to fit most heads.

    This helmet is specifically designed with women in mind and has a scoop in the back so your hair can pop out without knocking the helmet forward. This is really handy for anyone who wears their hair in a ponytail.The material is lightweight but solid and I'm overall really happy with it.No complaints what so ever. Nice range of colours too.

    A good looking helmet, but the ponytail fit system doesnt work as well as petzl probably imagine. I have to make the helmet full size and then re-fit every time I put the helmet on. The basket assumes you have a low pony. I wear a mid pony and this means the basket doesnt sit in the right place on my head causing the helmet to slip around. Because I have a small head (although still within the confines of the size guide) I think this also contributes to the slippage. I think the Petzl Elios is a much better helmet because it comes in two shell sizes. Forget the "lady fit" gimics, they just dont work!

    Great helmet for Girls and Ladies. I bought for my 8 and 11 year old daughters and it fits them very well. Very light and easy to adjust.
