Petzl Crevasse Rescue Kit
£110.00
The Petzl Crevasse Rescue Kit contains much of what you will need to perform a safe rescue for yourself or your partner should one of you fall into a crevasse. The kit is sufficient to perform hauls, assisted hauls or self extractions.
Note that this kit contains only the gear specific to crevasse rescue not items such as anchors, ropes etc. which will be carried anyway. Carrying this kit is no substitute for experience and will be of very little value without practice and ideally training in it's use.
The Petzl Crevasse Rescue Kit comprises of:
- 1 × Petzl Oscillante pulley
- 1 × Petzl Mini-Traxion pulley & rope clamp
- 1 × Petzl Tibloc
- 2 × Petzl OK Screwgate Carabiner
- 1 × 120cm sling
- Instruction manual

Petzl Crevasse Rescue Kit Review
Reviewer: Mark Purnell, Oslo (11-5-2012)
I purchased this to go with my off piste equipment, great handy pack containing emergency crevasse rescue kit. Fits snuggly into the supplied wallet with everything you need minus rope, I added an ice screw to the pack which fits inside the wallet for securing a rope. Thankfully I haven't had to use it in a real life situation yet.

Petzl Crevasse Rescue Kit Review
Reviewer: Jeremy Coleman, Saffron Walden, Essex (18-11-2010)
I bought this kit to provide piece of mind when backcountry and glacier skiing. I have not used it in the sense of an actual crevasse rescue situation, but I have tried out the various techniques given in the detailed but very easy to follow user guide.
I have added a 16cm ice screw (which fits neatly into the case), to provide an anchor point, and 30m rope, without which the kit would be useless.
You can of course buy these rescue kit items separately, but the kit is cheaper, and comes with a compartmentalised case which clearly shows if anything is missing, before you set off.
