Petzl Adjama Harness
£70.00
The Petzl Adjama Harness is a superb all-round climbing harness for mountaineering and cragging. Easily adjustable leg-loops mean that you can slip the Adjama on over almost any combination of clothing, ideal for alpinism and ice climbing but comfortable enough for long multi-pitch trad and sport redpoints.
The large, moulded gear-loops on the harness can accommodate a full trad rack and are designed to fit comfortably under a rucksack. This is one of the most versatile harnesses we sell and is a great choice for beginners and experienced climbers alike.
The Adjama uses Petzl's Frame Construction to make the waist and leg loops as light and breathable as possible. This construction technique puts the load bearing parts of the harness at the edges of the loops resulting in a finer, more breathable harness.

Petzl Adjama Harness Review
Reviewer: Richard Gentry, Yeovil (24-9-2011)
I used this harness for a winter season of sport climbing in Spain. I never really liked it and the main reason is the leg adjustment buckles constantly got caught on the rope which I found annoying but that may just be me because I usually only get harnesses that don’t have this feature. Other than that I thought it was ok but not great in the main other areas as well such as comfort and I sold it when the season ended. I think there are much better harnesses out there such as those by BD which seem much better designed, the harness I had by them (the old model sport climbing one) was great.

Petzl Adjama Climbing Harness Review

I bought this harness as a beginner to climbing and wanted a general purpose harness that I could use in the indoor climbing centre. I have not been disappointed, it is a great harness and there is enough padding that the straps don't feel like they're cutting into you.
I do find the little diagrams of where to link your carabiner a bit annoying as it does not look as good. Then again it's probably safer to have a reminder of how to tie in than to forget and cause an accident.
Lots of equipment loops to tie things on. Out of all the harnesses I have tried on in shops, the new Petzl ones such as this have a particularly good system for keeping your straps tidied away once they are tightened. They are like elastic bands which are easy to pull the straps out of if you need to. I like that feature.
All in all an excellent harness and stylish to boot.

Petzl Adjama Climbing Harness Review

Never climbed before in my life until met my girlfriend - we climb together now and for a long time I've been using her Petzl Corax Harness which was very comfortable even though there is a massive difference in our size. Wanted something lighter even, as the bulk and weight is extremely important when I travel. Found Adjama and been very happy with it. Well build, nicely cushioned and easy to adjust. Light too - only 410gr. Make sure you pick the correct size.
