The Movement Iki is a lightweight Backcountry / Touring Ski.
- Dimensions: 117-80-105
- Weight: 1350g (178cm)
- Construction: Ultralight Wood Core. Sandwich construction.
The Iki is from Movement's "Advanced Touring" series. This ski is targeted at the backcountry skier / ski tourer who want a light and efficient ski. We'd recommend this ski for hut to hut tours, or those who seek out the biggest vertical ascents. At 80mm under foot it will still cope well on the downhill. It's construction gives it good all round ability, which helps in mixed, tricky conditions. This ski is really quite similar to the Black Diamond Stigma, the Iki has a lighter wood core. This pushes the price a bit, but overall you get a similar performance ski with lighter weight.
Facewest ratings
Freeride:
We give this 2 stars. Too light and not fat enough for serious downhill performance.
Backcountry:
3 stars. A good lightweight backcountry ski. Will be appreciated by those who favor a lighter ski. Still good performance considering the ski weight. More suited to mixed / hard-pack performance over soft snow performance.
Touring:
5 stars. A great hut to hut ski. Light with enough downhill credentials to put a smile on your face. An ideal Haute Route type ski, with more downhill emphasis than a traditional skinny touring ski.
Facewest Verdict:
An ideal hut to hut ski, or for long days out.

Movement Iki Review
Reviewer: david williams, wolverhampton (7-12-2011)
My friend and I moved to the Iki two seasons ago after touring on Rosignol Bandits and have not looked back, they are one of the best light touring skis I have ever used, I ski them quite short for my height ( I’m 6’2”and ski 168s)but they handle everything I throw them at, super light easy to turn. Teamed with the Dynafit TLT bindings makes a brilliant combination.
My friend commented last year that either he was skiing better than usual or was it the skis??? I felt the same and conclude that the performance of this ski was outstanding. After 2 seasons on these skis I would fully recommend them and will probably buy them again as I’m sure this season will finish of the old ones off( I really must try better to avoid rocks gravel etc Ha Ha.)
