The Mountain Equipment Xero MM is one of the most specialist adventure racing sleeping bags available. It takes the same high quality construction as the rest of the Xero series, but removes the insulation from the back panel and replaces it with sleeves specifically designed to be turned into a balloon-bed sleeping mat. This saves a great deal of weight as this down is typically compressed when you are sleeping.

The bag comes with a pump and a pack of balloons so it forms a complete mountain marathon sleeping system. If you prefer a traditional sleeping matt then a ¾ length pad can be placed inside the bag as an alternative. We do not recommend this as a general use sleeping bag. However for those who want the lightest gear, and are prepared to sacrifice comfort to achieve it, this is a fantastic sleeping bag.
