The Mountain Equipment Womens Shield Jacket is designed as a highly protective softshell jacket to the worst of the weather out whilst the Powershield fabric maintains a reasonable level of breathability and is cut to allow for good movement with out resistance.

It builds upon the cut and construction of the ME's most popular softshell jackets but uses Powershield fabric to give great ease of movement and adds the performance of a Gore WINDSTOPPER Soft-Shell outer fabric and Drilite Loft lined hood to keep the weather out. These make this an ideal jacket for very cool but windy conditions and a great jacket for use in snow and light rain. A great winter walking and mountaineering soft-shell.
