The Mountain Equipment Womens Lightline Jacket is ME's classic winter mountaineering jacket. It's technical cut has a longer body length compared to a lot of other down jackets which allows good movement and better weather protection.
227g of 675 fill power pure down ensure it will keep you warm in all conditions. The perfect technical down jacket for Scottish winter and alpine summer use as well as for high altitude exploration in the marine climates of the Americas. The ME Lightline jackets (men's and women's) are their best selling down garments and have been so for many years.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Finally found a down jacket for her that's the right weight for winter hill walking. Lots of great features without looking too functional. We tested it over the New Year up Carn Liath during a blizzard.

This jacket is super warm and comfortable, since first buying it I have been reluctant to take it off. You can feel the benefit of the down within a short time of zipping up and water runs straight off, although not great for continuous downpour. The hood is brilliant compared to other down jackets I tried out as it allows plenty of head coverage and with the zip up to the top, you feel really wrapped up and protected, though not a bit restricted. Allows for a good range of arm movement, you can throw your arms in any direction and feel totally confident that you are not putting any of the seams under pressure.
