Excellent piece of winter kit, I intend to wear these for skiing this year as well as days out on the fells over the colder months as they have an impressive level of water resistance (as checked out in a downpour over weekend!) and I found even though they fit fairly snugly around your bottom and thighs they give a really good range of comfortable motion without riding up or pulling across the top of your legs when scrambling. You'd probably only need a hardshell overtrouser in prolonged heavy wet conditions and with a good baselayer legging you'd be toasty for anything really chilly.

The fit is slim and the zipped gusset to expand the lower leg of the trouser to fit over a larger boot (e.g.ski boot) is a brilliant feature. Only point I would make is although I'm a clothes size 8, the ten fits perfectly - if you're buying ME products, the ladies sizes can often be a little on the small size compared to high street clothes so do follow the advice on Facewest and if you're not sure which size to get, maybe buy more than one to try at home. Honestly these are the most practical and flattering winter trousers I've ever tried and I'm very excited for the weather to get worse so I can wear them loads!
