Mountain Equipment Mountain Stretch Glove Review

I bought these for summer mountaineering. So far, I've worn them on some of the colder winter days in the UK. The fit is quite snug which allows plenty of dexterity - I've had no problem getting in and out of pockets and working zips so rarely needed to take them off. Laces proved tricky though. They've not been rained on much yet but if there's one downfall I've seen it's that they could be grippier as the palm leather is quite soft. Very happy with these gloves.

Surprisingly warm given the low bulk. Very snugly glove which still allows you to do a fairly good degree of hand work. Great in ice or rain. Another good point is that they are easy to get on or off, even if the other hand is not available. Highly recommended.

I love these gloves! They are the new version, with longer low bulk cuffs. There is a fleece pile lining to most of the glove, except from the base of the palm to the wrist, so you can cinch the velcro closure right down for a neat fit inside your sleeves.
There are no pairing clips or idiot loops, so it looks like these gloves are deigned to stay on rather than be donned and doffed all the time.
This was borne out when I tried them out in the snow in Idwal last weekend, it's quite a fight to get wet cold fingers back in the glove past the pile lining. The good news is that fit and dexterity are fantastic - so there's no need to take them off 99% of the time
