The Mountain Equipment Ion Bivi is a lightweight water resistant bivi that packs down very small and offers reasonable protection from the weather, this is really suited to Alpine style mountaineering.
Drilite Loft fabric is highly water resistant and windproof, as well as extremely breathable and lightweight. The Ion bivi It is designed as a sleeping bag cover or very occasional bivi. Ideal for protecting down bags in damp conditions such as snowholes or for giving an extra protection layer when sleeping out under the stars. When in it's stuff sack the Ion Bivi really is tiny, similar to a rolled up pair of over trousers.
