Mountain Equipment Iceline Sleeping Bag Review
Reviewer: Peter Stott, France (7-11-2011)
My wife and I bought Mountain Equipment IceLine Sleeping bags for an extended trip to Tibet in 2010. I was pleased that the Iceline bag is available in Extra Long length which I found to be a real benefit when I compare it with my wife's standard long model. This is a superb product and we were always warm and very comfortable even in the coldest nights at high altitudes. I would definitely go for this product again - it is very well constructed, packs down in the stuff sack to an incredibly small size, and then lofts up to provide outstanding insulation. Not the cheapest bag on the market - but definitely excellent value for money in extreme conditions.

Mountain Equipment Iceline Sleeping Bag Review

I bought my Iceline 3 years ago after a lot of research, to replace my old down bag. It was the best weight to warmth ratio bag I could find. I’ve slept in it for 90 nights since then and it's still in great condition. Used at high altitude and sub zero temperatures all the time. Outer fabric sheds frost well, baffles and drawcords do a good job of keeping the bag draught free. If I’m worried about super cold temperatures I put an extra bivi bag over the top for extra warmth. It’s a great balance between lighter bags which just don't keep you as warm as you need, and a much heavier bag which you have to lug around!
