Large superdurable, bombproof bag. Not for the lightweight enthusiasts. The zipper is huge, and I second that the D-type opening is extremely useful. There is indeed a large yellow waterproof pocket sewn next to the opening. Although it seems practical, in reality it is an annoyance. Being close to the opening it disturbs the packing. And when the pack is full (I mean properly full), one cannot put anything into it. Other than this minor problem, the bag is perfect for what it was made.

Bought one of these for small trips to the Beacons for a few nights or North Wales for a week.

Easy to open, generously spaced. The D type opening works much better than a simple zip down the middle type thing. There are two inner pockets. One is a mesh pocket attached to the lid which is great for stuff like maps or phones or things which you may need to get out quickly.

Then there’s a yellow pocket which to me seems like a waterproof pocket for maybe towels or wet/dirty clothes.

The compression straps are also great and when its packed to the max really works to keep it shapely and tight.

There are cheaper options from people like HiGear and more expensive ones from North Face, but I feel this is the right balance between the two. For what it offers in quality and features than the Hi Gear ones but a much cheaper option than North Face alternatives.
