The Marmot Variant Jacket is unique. It combines Thermal R synthetic insulation panels on the chest with Powerstretch sleeves, back and side-panels to give a novel low-bulk insulation piece. This is ideal for climbers, ski tourers and alpinists who want an extra boost of warmth which won't take up space in the rucksack.
Polartec Power Stretch fabric is principally a four way stretch fabric that hugs the body and is made of two layers. The outer durable layer has a smooth finish and offers good wind resistance, while the soft inner layer wicks moisture quickly keeping you dry and warm. Powerstretch panelling provides amazing freedom of movement so once this jacket's on you'll forget it's there.
