The Marmot Womens Driclime windshirt is one of the most versatile mid-layers available today. The very light and packable DriClime will shed water, repel wind and dry very quickly ensuring comfort as you walk, climb.
The Windshirt is the original softshell garment, and sits at the light and air permeable end of the scale, but slip one on in a cold wind and you will be amazed at the warmth of such a light garment. Use it for every sport in every season, as part of your layering system.
DriClime is the inner fabric to the garment. It has been engineered to produce a 3 dimensional wicking process that draws moisture quickly from the surface of your skin to the the outer surface of the fabric. It is here that the moisture spreads over the larger surface of the fabric allowing it to evaporate quickly, keeping you comfortable and warm.

I bought this jacket for my wife to stop her constantly borrowing mine. The Driclime windshirt is probably the most versatile and useful piece of clothing we own. It can be used as a single layer for mountain biking or climbing, to just keep the breeze off you on those regular Scottish summer days, or we often wear them over a base layer/thermal on the slightly cooler ones. It will even stay warm during a light shower.
During the winter, it is the ideal mid weight base layer for ski touring. It's very breathable under a Gore-tex jacket (and surprisingly warm for what it is), but still acts as a fantastic wind break on those long ski-ins, when you need to shed a few layers. If there's only one piece of kit that everyone should own, this is it.
