The Marmot Womens ROM Jacket is a Gore Windstopper soft shell designed for mountaineers and alpinists. Its name comes from the fact that it includes stretchy m2 softshell panels under the arms and so offers a superb Range Of Motion to allow for even the toughest of climbing contortions. These m2 side panels also aid breathability where it's needed most.

Gore Windstopper is one of the most weatherproof softshell fabrics going. It is a membrane fabric which means that you do lose some breathability and it might get warm on the walk in but when you're 6 pitches up a north facing crag and the breeze starts to picks up the benefits will quickly become obvious.
