They are very lightweight and protected from the wind. To climb a day of spring or go in the summer to climb to an altitude medium, for example the Picos de Europa, Asturias. Side pocket is very handy. The fabric is nice and tight and comfortable cut. They are also somewhat elastic, which favours the freedom of movement. It is now my pants, climbing with soft time number one. I have others pants, but are too rigid or more baggy. I do not understand why not bought them before.

Pros: Great fit, lightweight, breathable, stretchy, water resistant.

Cons: Not super wind resistant.

Overall a great trouser for climbing. They feel like normal walking trousers. Can hardly tell that they are softshell. Really light and thin, with great manoeuvrability due to the stretch built in. They shed water surprisingly well for the feel and weight of the material. Also the thigh pocket works really well, as it is a vertical zip, rather than horizontal. Just the right size for a phone/ compact cam. Very easily accessible, even when the material is taught, such as a hanging belay.

Material isn't super warm, and lets through a little wind, so more of a 2/3 season climbing pant. Its thinner than most softshell trousers. But then that is what it's designed for, so it gets 5*s :)
