The Marmot Pro Tour Pant is a new stretch softshell designed for ski tourers and alpinists. It falls into Marmot's M2 softshell range, offering superb weatherproofing without compromising breathability. A high waist and internal bonded gaiter ensure that the Pro Tour keeps the snow out and keeps you warm and dry.
Polartec Powershield is a lamination of a stretch woven outer with a warmer fleece inner layer. Between the two fabrics is a porous membrane. The perforations of the membrane ensure that the fabric has good levels of breathability combined with wind resistance whilst offering protection against moisture in all but the worst conditions.
This is one of our very best choices for the ski tourer, winter walker or winter mountaineer. In changeable or super-cold conditions combine the Pro Tour with a shell pant and you'll have a brilliant weatherproof layering system.

Really good winter softshells. I was worried they might be a bit cold but handled comfortably down to -10/15C with a midweight base layer. Used for on piste downhill so included some hanging around on lifts! Got a bit wet around the boot but dried off very quickly. Only criticism might be for a bigger crampon/ boot protection as I managed to cut the softshell slightly in a fall with my skis just above the ankle. Otherwise really impressed.
