The Marmot Pounder bags are so called because the original pounder bag weighed just that. However, because we have the pound sterling and weigh things in grams the 454 grammer just didn't have the same ring. The Marmot Pounder bags are synthetically insulated summer sleeping bags. Light, durable, easy to wash and care for make the pounders great for Scouts and guides, festivals and summer only car campers.
The Marmot Pounder actually weighs just a little more than a pound these days, 623g, but is a fantastically light and comfy bag for summer use in milder climates.
