The Marmot Home Alone Bivy is a durable bivy for the serious lightweight backpacker that requires the minimum shelter to save weight, but good enough to keep the weather out while you rest inside.
The Marmot single skin MemBrain fabric is completely waterproof with fully taped seams. The ground sheet is made from nylon with a hydro static head of 3000mm keeping the water out from underneath and also providing a durable base to protect from rough ground and rocks. The Home Alone has a zipped entrance that can be used just with the mesh door for extra ventilation. Above the entrance a hooped pole ensures access is a little easier, and it gives you extra room inside to manoeuvre.
This is the 2011 version with the internal hoop at the foot of the bivy

Marmot Home Alone Bivy Review
Reviewer: Mitchell Musgrave, Durham (20-5-2011)
This is another great item from Marmot and makes bivvying a pleasurable experience. It's silly how light this thing is but it’s also very waterproof and durable. The pole at the head means you don’t end up smothering yourself through the night and it helps prevent wind flapping!
Very secure structure and equal quality to more expensive alternatives. A+!
