The Marmot Driclime Vest can compress to a fist-sized ball of wind-proof protection for cross-country skiing, biking, running and climbing. The vest is tiny but keeps the cold wind from your core if you are just wearing a baselayer, or makes you really warm if worn under a shell. A great piece of clothing that is truly minimal.
DriClime is the inner fabric to the garment. It has been engineered to produce a 3 dimensional wicking process that draws moisture quickly from the surface of your skin to the the outer surface of the fabric. It is here that the moisture spreads over the larger surface of the fabric allowing it to evaporate quickly, keeping you comfortable and warm.

Recently purchased this vest from Facewest. When the vest arrived I was a bit sceptical because it was so light and the fabric so fine, but I guess it is because the weave of the fabric is so fine that makes it so effective. Very well made product and very comfortable, great fit, cut and shape, the arm holes are very neat and not half way down your torso like some. Lined on the inside at the front and down to your shoulder blades at the back which really wicks the sweat from your body, lower back wont be touching your body so don't need the lining. Collar is very comfortable on the neck, and the pockets are very handy.
First day I used it it was extremely windy, In Kerry Ireland, so it got a baptism of fire, I was well impressed, almost astounded for such a light garment. It should suffice in Ireland and the UK for 3 seasons even as a mid layer while your on the move. The only negative thing I can say about this vest is that being American the zip pull is on the "wrong" side.

I love this vest. I bought the item for biking and haven't been disappointed. The vest definitely adds a nice layer for wind blocking. Perfect for early fall and late spring. I think it is a great investment.
