The Marmot Basic Work Glove is a classic all leather glove from Marmot. The simple all leather design is highly durable and very dexterous, while the driclime lining gives excellent next to skin comfort.

The DriClime lining wicks moisture quickly away from your skin and also gives a reasonable level of insulation. The Leather keeps the elements out. This is a great glove for mild winter climbing and skiing at a great price.

Excellent gloves. They have very good fit and they are very soft. My use is for ice climbing and mountaineering, and they allow for great dexterity. They are warm enough for temperatures to -12 ° C. They are not waterproof but they are fast drying. I usually recommend using wax to protect the leather. And it is very important to its good price. I think they make a perfect performance in my application.

I'm impressed with these gloves and they are now my commute to work gloves that easily fit in my jacket or my dog walking puffer pockets without bulk.

Slimline, warm, smart black (crinkly) leather lined with a slightly velvet feeling material. Subtle branding that you don't notice. Nice anatomical fit (well, OK for my XL hands) but the gloves just cover your hands without a long cuff that you would look for from a ski glove. Warm enough for skiing this January (my ski gloves got rather damp one day so I made the switch to these and did not switch back for the rest of the week). Without the little black plastic clip to keep them together you would mistake them for something a little more dressy. The leather is very supple, not what you would expect given their name.

Good quality leather gloves. They are very snug inside with a furry lining and the stitching seems good quality.

The Marmot logo is across the cuff of each glove, which makes them look less like a 'classic' black leather glove.

It will be a matter of taste whether you like the clip which is included. It could be useful but I think I will not end up using it so would probably prefer it without.

I was a bit disappointed by the size as I was expecting the fingers to be longer. I do have very big hands but I thought the extra large would be big enough.

Good quality leather gloves, insulated lining works well, very hard wearing. Still maintain reasonable dexterity.

Don't be fooled by the "work glove" description, these would be fine to wear whilst with a formal overcoat and versatile enough as a hard wearing glove for in the hills.

Haven't yet tested how they perform in the wet.
