The Mammut Ultimate Pro Jacket is a comfortable, lightweight Gore Windstopper soft shell cut for climbing and scrambling. It is highly elasticated, giving a stretchy, comfortable fit and great freedom of movement whilst thumbloops and articulated elbows prevent the sleeves riding up and keep your wrists and hands warm.
Gore Windstopper is at the warm, weather resistant end of the softshell spectrum. It is completely windproof and highly water resistant making it ideal in spindrift or moderate snowfall. In warmer conditions late in the season you might want to try a lighter softshell or windshirt.
This is a fantastic choice for summer climbing and mountaineering or for alpine use. Late season ski tourers will also appreciate it's low weight and freedom of movement.

Mammut Ultimate Pro Jacket (Winter 2010) Review
Reviewer: Adriano Nicastro, Bagnoli Irpino (6-4-2012)
When the postman handed me the package I thought: But it really was there. I did not know it was so compressible, it takes very little space. I just finished testing it after a long hike in the mountains, under a drizzle, and the verdict is positive ... passed!
The fabric thickness and weight are worthy of a softshell, well-cut and does not hinder the movements of the body. The fabric of this softshell is a little elastic, very resistant to abrasion. Needless to say, it is 100% windproof and the resistance to rain is good. The breathability is good but, in my opinion, this jacket is not ideal for intense aerobic activities, especially if it's not too cold. I am 65.4 inches tall, my chest circumference is 35 inches and, looking up in the Mammut table, I bought a size S. ... and fits me perfectly.
The jacket is a few inches longer on the back, the cut and wear-ability are similar to the Marmot Tempo I have. The sleeves are a little longer to allow you to put your thumbs in the holes but you can choose to not use them. In conclusion, I believe that this softshell is a great buy and the price on Facewest is really cheap. Thank Facewest as usual for the great service and timeliness of delivery.

Fantastic Jacket
Reviewer: Ronnie Currie, Lindsayfield,East Kilbride (13-3-2012)
Having purchased this Jacket instead of my usual Arc'teryx Jackets, I was sceptical that it would live up to the high standards of my previous ones. I wasn't to be disappointed though. This stood up to my chilly rainy days on the Isle of Arran and the Isle of Bute with ease.
The Gore Windstopper fabric easily reflects wind, and the rain just beads off it. The athletic fit was comfortable and stretchy, and offered no pulling up,which I did experience with previous jackets. Even with a jumper,t-shirt and a baselayer on,it didn't feel too tight or bulky, again due to the stretch of the fabric.
If I did have a negative,it would be that the sleeves are a tad long, but this is due to the fact that it has thumb loops on the cuffs. So it's the only way to accommodate them.A small quirk I feel. All in all I'm very pleased with it,and I was very pleased with the Facewest service for price and super quick delivery. Buy this Jacket!
