The Mammut Add On Bottle Holder can be used with just about any bottle up to a 1 litre capacity. The Holder is wrapped around the bottle and secured with a large Velcro patch and buckled webbing strap. It can be attached to a hip belt or shoulder straps with its Velcro straps. A great way to keep a drink to hand when you're on the move.

Does exactly as you'd expect and holds different size bottles. Fits my waist securely and will also go on a shoulder strap of a pack. Mammut high quality and not too expensive. Cracking service from Facewest too.
Great quality bottle holder, bought together with a 0.75 Camelbak Chute. The holder attachment straps are 'two-way' so they'll strap on to almost anything and any part of a rucksack, and the bottle holder straps are easily adjustable for different sized bottles. I got this for when not using a reservoir, so that I could drink on the go without having to put my pack down. Also, the side holders on a new pack I've got are fairly small, and it's difficult to return a bottle to them, even if it can be pulled out. The holder works well (on my hip belt) and there isn't too much movement, so the bottle doesn't want to drop out.
I bought this bottle holder for my wheelchair. It has these little velcro straps that fasten to the footrest rod, or wherever you would want to put it as the straps are adjustable. It's a really good looking bottle holder. Exceptionally good quality materials are used. There is a little string sort of thing on top that holds the bottle in place. If there was an option to put a photo up I would show how it looks.
Although I got it to use it on the wheelchair as a bottle holder, it can even hold a pint glass as the holder itself is adjustable via another velcro fastening. It even has a clip to further strengthen the velcro.
I cannot honestly think of a single fault with this. It looks like it should easily last 20 or so years as its made of such high quality.
Over the years I've become less and less enchanted with carrying water bladders such as the Platypus and Camelbak; at some point in the day I'm guaranteed to either sit on the bite valve or catch it in the hip strap of the pack, only becoming aware of this when an embarrassingly large water stain spreads down my trousers. Refilling one during the day is also a pain, as the pack needs to be nearly emptied to get the thing out. So, it's back to water bottles for me.
Some packs do have bottle holders, but few seem to have ones that allow you to pull a bottle out (and replace it) without either taking the pack off or indulging in contortions. I don't have such a pack so needed an alternative.
This holder fits on either the hip strap or shoulder strap of your pack. I have it on the shoulder strap holding a bottle with a bite valve; this makes drinking (sorry, "hydrating", for heaven's sake) on the go as convenient as with the tube from a bladder, but without any of the other downsides. It will hold a 1 litre bottle, although personally I found this too big as it kept catching my arm, both on the hip strap and shoulder strap; I use it with a 650 ml bottle and find this a perfect combination.
The holder is well put together, and has been exactly what I needed.
