La Sportiva Miura VS

The La Sportiva Miura VS is more than just the Velcro version of the classic Miura lace up. La Sportiva have taken one of their most popular shoes and improved it's performance.
The most technical improvement to the shoe is the use of P3 technology to give this shoe unequalled arch support. This support is designed with longevity in mind and will maintain the shoes arch and 'toe down' shape through out it's life.
The sole incorporates Vibram XsEdge rubber which is the latest and stickiest rubber they produce. The unit is a highly asymmetric shape. This makes the climber place their weight over the big toe, aiding performance. The down side of such an asymmetric shape is that it will impact the comfort of the shoe for some.
The suede upper is crafted using a tubular construction and the closure is held securely in place by three opposing Velcro straps. Inside the shoe has a Dentex lining to prevent the shoe from stretching, but this lining does not extend to the foot-bed. This improves the sensitivity of the shoe so the climber can feel every crystal.
This shoe is good for smearing but is excellent on edges and the 'toe down' shape really lends this shoe to steeper overhanging ground.

Have been using Miura VS for the past 2-3 years for all type of climbing, from bouldering to trad’, both indoors and outdoors. Great shoe with tight fit so it's very precise also on those dime edges. Due the tight fit and aggressive shape it's not best shoe for multi-pitching or long days at the wall. For those days I would recommend laced Miura.
Only flaw I have experienced is that lowest Velcro wears out by the Velcro hook on outside edge.
