Kahtoola KTS Aluminium Crampon

The Kahtoola KTS Aluminium Crampon is a lightweight non-technical crampon that is suitable for crossing hard packed snow and glaciers.
The great thing about the KTS crampon is that it can be attached to almost any footwear, these could be approach shoes, hiking boots or skiing boots. This is possible because of their unique LeafSpring extender bar that allows the crampon to flex as you walk. The straps to the front and rear are independent of each other, allowing for unrestricted movement. They are fastened via quick release buckles that allow for quick adjustment. The foot plate offers full sole coverage and the ten aluminium teeth bite into the ice and snow to ensure you have a safe and confident journey. And when you take them off they pack away really small.
Out of the packet they lived up to expectation, really quick to get on with tool free adjustment, even onto a running shoe. The flexibility is amazing, these crampons are ideal for winter walking and running in any footwear. Because of the length and non aggressive angle of the front points these crampons are really snag free for walking and running but not suited to front pointing up steep slopes.
