The Wayback is from K2's "Backside" series. This is a series of skis targeted at backcountry skiing. This ski is aimed at the Tourer skier who wants a ski that will have great performance in soft snow conditions.

We give this 2 stars. Will work well in powder conditions, but will be shown up by other skis in mixed conditions at speed as it has a lightweight construction.

Backcountry:
4 stars. A good choice for those who want a lightweight backcountry ski and want fun in the soft stuff.

Touring:
5 stars. Light, and great for soft snow. The ideal choice for many who want to hike and enjoy powder.

Note this is from the 2010/11 version. Ski is very similar this year.

Now that this ski has a rocker profile, it is an amazing, light weight, powder ski, for those big vert days. Soft and light, but an even flex keeps it predictable and consistent. I would choose this ski over the Manaslu or equivalent BD ski any day. Add the flat tails and tip/tail holes and you have a very capable backcountry skiing tool as well.
