The Sideshow is from K2's "Backside" series. This is a series of skis targeted at backcountry skiing. This ski is aimed at the Backcountry skier who wants a ski that will have great performance in all conditions. It has a metal laminate construction which gives the ski more power in the right hands. This means it can cope when pushed hard.

Freeride:
We give this 4 stars. A great Freeride ski which also crosses over into a great backcountry ski. This ski will be great on the downhill whatever the conditions. A very versatile shape and size, it is a true all rounder that will cope with tight trees, ice, powder and mixed conditions.

Backcountry:
5 stars. A good choice for those who want a performance ski. Getting a bit heavy for some for long hikes. Any fit skier will have no problems with this ski in the backcountry.

Touring:
3 stars. Just too heavy to really recommend it here. If your fit enough to take the extra weight then you'll have a great tool for the descents.

Facewest Verdict:
A solid choice for the strong backcountry skier who wants a capable ski that has a good width under foot and will cope with a variety of conditions and types of skiing.
