The inov-8 Roclite 318 GTX is a completely waterproof running shoe that is ideal in cold, wet, muddy or snowy conditions. This shoe provides a good level of comfort on the trail. A Gore-Tex membrane allows the shoe to breathe but they will never be as breathable or as cool as a non-membrane shoe such as the Roclite 315. See related products

A webbing cradle around the upper of the shoe, which is tensioned via the laces, provides a comfortable but firm fit from this shoe. The sticky rubber compound sole provides exceptional grip even on wet surfaces, but the down side to having extra grip is that sticky compound soles don't wear as well. The graded lugs ensure good grip over rough terrain, whether that's rocky tracks to muddy trails. The centre of the sole has been formed into a Fascia Band, this is a replication of the plantar fascia ligament and it provides improved propulsion efficiency and reduces fatigue.

The foot is further supported by the Meta Shank, the five fingers of the shank align the metatarsals giving underfoot impact protection. This is sandwiched between the sole and moulded mid sole that absorbs shock as you run.
