High 5 Zero Active Tablet Tube

High 5's Zero Active Tablet Tube is a packet of soluble tablets which provide a range of electrolytes to help fight cramp without the need for energy rich carb drinks. Simply pop a tablet into your water bottle, allow to dissolve and you're good to go. Each tube contains 20 tablets, enough to turn 20L of water into a tasty isotonic drink for a fraction of the price of buying the drink premixed.
The Zero Active Tablets are ideal for adventure racers who need to be careful to avoid electrolyte depletion but need to minimise the weight they're carrying. Two or three of these tablets wrapped in a bit of cling film and chucked in your bottle when you refill it will work wonders.

I've only tried the Citrus (lemon & lime I think) and found it very palatable. Went out for a 11-12 mile stroll on the Moor last weekend and tried these out. Ok I had some free samples, but for 35p a tablet I'll be buying some soon.
I have used electrolytes in my platypus water carrier for a few years now because they work, especially if it's hot and your sweating. The benefits of having your electrolyte powder on a tablet form is that they are far more easier to use. I have spilt the basic powder form electrolyte powder over equipment before and then it gets all sticky. Not good. These tablets taste good, are easy to use, inexpensive, have no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are made by an award winning UK company that specializes in sports nutrition. 5 stars.

This is a fantastic idea a drink in the form of a tablet instead of a sachet of powder.The other great thing is you do not have to take the whole tube of tablets with you you can wrap 3 or 4 in foil for a two day hike! The flavours are nice too the thing that is good also is as they are tablet form you can get them into a platypus soft bottle or similar with very little effort were if it was a powdered drink and it was windy it could or would go ever were .So all in all a great product at a very good price.

Used them yesterday for the first time on a 24 mile off road/trail event and I found them to be great. dissolved very fast, and had a very clean fresh taste. took a couple of extra tabs with me to add to water that was provided at the check-points so there was no need to carry more liquid weight then I needed which saved me a lot of weight (1 litre of water weighs 1 kilo. I think they gave me an edge in weight saved and energy/salts provided. will be getting more in the future.
