The Helly Hansen Lifa V-Neck T is the latest version of their iconic baselayer range. Lifa has been used by runners, cyclists, mountaineers and walkers for the last 30 years but in that time it has undergone some significant improvements. Today's Lifa is a 100% synthetic hydrophobic fabric, which means that the fabric and the mechanical action of you moving about drive the water (sweat normally) through the fabric and onto the outer surface, where it will evaporate or soak into the layer above it. For any clothing system to work effectively then each layer must do its job, but with Lifa as your baselayer you know the job has been started properly.

I ordered this baselayer for my girlfriend, to make her follow me to the mountains. She tried it last summer, as we were walking every day for miles during our holidays. She mentioned how light and breathable it was when the weather was hot. I think the only disadvantage of this kind of fabric, is that it is very sensitive to Velcro (such as the closure of the sleeping bag) and the belts of rucksacks, as it can be ripped easily. Anyway, it is a very breathable baselayer, light, and you can wear it not only in hot days, but also in winter, under fleece jackets.
