The Helly Hansen Lifa Stripe Boxer is a light synthetic boxer designed to keep you comfortable and dry even when you're working hard. This may not be the most glamorous item we sell but synthetic boxers are a lot more comfortable than the usual cotton, especially in the wet. These are great for summer walking and mountaineering, running, cycling and almost everything else for that matter!

Helly Hansen Lifa is the most well known and recognisable base layer thermal available. It's not always been the same fabric though. Today's Lifa is a 100% synthetic hydrophobic fabric, which means that the fabric and the mechanical action of you moving about drive the water (sweat normally) through the fabric and onto the outer surface, where it will evaporate or soak into the layer above it. For any clothing system to work effectively then each layer must do its job, but with Lifa as your baselayer you know the job has been started properly.
