The Giro G10 Helmet is a very popular light weight low profile helmet from Giro with exceptional cool venting keeping you comfortable as you ski or board on the mountain.
Thermostat ventilation is easily controlled using an external low profile button, this controls air flow through the helmet, easy to use and very effective. In milder conditions if you're still feeling warm then simply remove the ear pieces to cool down further.
In-Mould construction combines the helmets impact absorbing foam liner with a tough polycarbonate outer shell and allows Giro to sculpt the ventilation, producing a light and comfortable helmet. For the perfect fit the helmets size can simply be adjusted by up to 6cm via the ergo-friendly dial situated at the base of the helmet. A goggle strap to the rear of the helmet hold your goggles firmly in place.

Purchased for touring so liked the ventilation options. Have only used during three days of typical Scottish weather skiing on piste. The ventelation was very good as I had to wear a Buff to protect my heat from getting cold - which will be good when it comes to skinning uphill!
Giro G10 Helmet Review

After 7 seasons riding without a lid I finally decided I should get around to protecting my napper.
I tried on about 15 helmets and this one was the only one that fitted my head - not sure if I have an unusual head, have never had problems with motorbike helmets anyway.
Worn it for 4 seasons now, about 60 days per season. Fits my head pretty snugly once you adjust the dial at the back and feels nice and secure. Dial is easily operated with gloves. Compatible with all my goggles although I prefer to wear it with a buff underneath to keep the brow of the helmet a little higher and stop the goggles pushing down on to my nose. Venting is good and the high cut of the helmet at the back means it doesn't interfere with jacket hood or pack. Fleecey chin strap is soft and comfortable.
Will never be as comfortable as just a beanie but good fit and comfort means I am not tempted to ride without it.

I chose this helmet over the lower spec Giro helmets, mainly because of the adjustable vent at the back of the helmet. This lets you adjust how much cooling you get, which is great. Some lower spec helmets have no cooling, or just removable internal pads that are a pain to remove. The helmet (and especially the ear pads) keep your head very warm, and the helmet adjusts easily to your head via a rotating dial at the back.
I have to say that I tried on many helmets, and the Giro’s seemed to fit me better than any others – they just seemed to fit snugly once the dial at the back was set correctly. This helmet isn’t especially cheap, but I guess it’s always worth spending money to protect your head...
