These Fritschi Ski Brakes Fit Fritschi Frame Touring Bindings from winter 2004-5 onwards. If you have an older model of binding then these brakes can be made to fit with a bit of trimming with a Stanley knife.
Fritschi Freeride Pro and Eagle bindings come complete with ski brakes but no leashes whereas Fritschi Explore bindings (now discontinued) used to come with leashes but no brakes, so these brakes are primarily for those wishing to retro fit ski brakes to Fritschi Explores or who have subsequently bought wider skis. These brakes do not fit Vipec or Tecton bindings
Measure the width of your skis at the waist and choose the smallest brake size above that. The fact that the ski brake is behind the waist of the ski has been accounted for.Widths available: 72, 80, 90, 100 and 115mm

Perfect, and simple to fit, a great addition to my touring bindings, no longer essential to wear the leashes....but may do in deep powder.
These were bought to replace a broken brake on an oldish pair of bindings (not sure of exact age). They fitted on directly despite the warning some modification may be necessary.
They do seem expensive for what they are, but facewest were the cheapest I found.
They are specified based on ski width and this resulted in them being a bit wider than I would like as it was just on the boundary between sizes. It would have been useful to be told the actual width so we can make our own decisions.
When I bought my Diamir touring binding some years ago from Snow & Rock, I wasn't informed about the possibility to fit brakes. It was only by a chance encounter with another tour skier that I found out that they existed and could be retro fitted. Now finding a place that would sell them was difficult, the internet provided mainly US websites and I wasn't even sure whether the brakes they sold would fit my bindings. They I came across Facewest website and from the product info was 99% sure these brakes would fit my bindings. Ordering and fitting them was simple and quick. No more fear of runaway skies, can't wait to get out there!
I have used both standard and wide (100 mm) versions of this brake with Freeride bindings. Like many Fritschi products, they just seem to work with no fuss or hassle. They are easy to fit and unlike some alpine binding brakes they aren't obsessed with folding so neatly into the heelpiece that they occasionally jam or clog.
Good strong spring helps too - top notch product!
