Bought a pair of these for steep Limestone routes out in Kalymnos and for routes back home on Pembroke and Gower.

They are without doubt the best edging shoes I have owned, and as someone mentioned above, if you can see a hold you can use it. The first route I climbed in these was an E3 slab where standing up on tiny edges was the order of the day. I’m pretty sure that without these my foot would have popped on a few occasions.

The lacing is great, you can get them really snug and precise. The price is what you would expect from a top end shoe, but it’s without doubt worth the money. Maybe go with the velcros for grit smearing, but for anything steep or edgy, go with these for sure!

The opposite of the Velcro VCS. These are really stiff edging shoes and are excellent on slate edges, which is what I bought them for. Whatever you can see you can use. However when out of the box these are rubbish for smearing, but they get better as the soles soften over time and end up being a good all rounder. The heal is fairly aggressive pushing your toes into the box and causing a bit a discomfort. Definitely not for multipitching and when new I avoided routes I knew I would be on for a while. But for hard face climbing these are excellent.

I purchased these shoes for mostly indoor climbing at the local wall, as there aren't many crags near me! These replaced an old pair of Scarpas that stretched a bit too much for me. There's no worry of this happening with these due to the synthetic material and seriously narrow fit (even when only downsizing half a size!). However, the rubber is really sticky (considering it's the harder Stealth compound), and I love the magic fingers heel that pushes your feet right to the front of the shoe. Some people might find the heel a bit too aggressive though. Overall, a cracking pair of shoes that stick really well, are nice 'n' stiff for edging and feel like they'll go on forever! Only downside is really that obviously they're a bit uncomfortable for extended wear.
