The Exped Ultralite Fold Dry Bag offers the lightweight enthusiast the same range of dry bags as the Fold Dry Bag, also in the same primary colours. The only difference is that they weigh a lot lot less.
They are really easy to use, put your kit in, whether it's a wallet and phone in the XS or a sleeping bag in the XXL. Roll the top down at least three times and clip the buckle together. This not only forms the waterproof seal but also provides a neat handle, though there is a purpose made one on the bottom.

Exped Ultralite Fold Dry Bag Review

I purchased this dry bag for ultra marathons where mandatory gear is required and keeping the weight down in your pack is a priority. The smallest size is great for your phone, money and cards whilst the bigger bags are great for keeping your spare clothing dry. Every ounce counts for us. The bags are quite rugged for our use and have been ideal.

I purchased this dry bag for wild camping. I have used the other Exped dry bags but was always afraid the ultra light dry bags would not stand up to much abuse. I can safely say I was wrong the are very strong and keep air tight / water tight very well. They are super light weight and really make a difference as anyone who knows every gram counts when wild camping. The range of colours for each size is really good for gear identification and organisation.
The added feature of being made of a translucent material means gear identification even easier with dry bags of the same size. These dry bags are little gems and are 10% off rrp from Facewest a perfect buy for any adventurer.

I haven't put this nice looking bag through a stress test yet (cross a river) but very simple to use (easy folding/unfolding) with a clip with a nice feel to it. Coloring is great and helps in case you lose it in the wild.

These Exped drybags have revolutionised the way I pack my gear in my rucksack. Gone are the days of chucking all I had into the 60ltr pack liner. They allow me to keep all my gear neatly packed and more importantly, separated from each other. I use maybe 8 drybags of varying sizes in my rucksack now. I use individual drybags for my waterproofs, insulation, tent clothes, sleeping bag, hats/gloves, headtorch/batteries, food, toilet roll.
Another quality is that they allow me to compress clothing down to a much smaller volume than they would be otherwise which has allowed me to use a smaller rucksack, thus reducing the weight I have to carry on my back. Consider these drybags essential for backpacking / lightweight travel.

I have numerous Exped bags that I use to ensure that all my kit remains waterproof within my rucksack - and I love them.
This is the first Ultralite version that I have bought and I am very impressed by it's weight saving qualities. I don't think they could be used where there is a risk of puncture and major water ingress (i.e. canoeing or sea kayaking) but they are so much lighter than the standard dry sacks they are a must for weight conscious back packers.

Light and Dry

I am organising my kayak expedition trips this year with different colour dry bags - Exped seemed to have light (we have to carry them from the kayak) and colourful bags and one hopes dry ones too (so far so good). They pack down small for traveling, and are light for walking too. Easy to close and reliable. They don't look too durable but Exped tends to make good stuff so I am hopeful for still using them at the end of 2012.

Nice little bag, I don't think it's as waterproof as bags with rolling closure systems but for my purpose of use it's totally fine. Material looks really good and strong so I expect it to last some good years.

I have many original Exped dry bags but the lightweight version is even better. This size takes my sleep mat sleeping bag and bivy bag rolled together, protecting the rest of my gear in my sack.
