Exped AirMat Ultralite Review
Reviewer: Mark Waring, Wadhurst (1-9-2011)
I think this mat ticks all the boxes. Its very light, very comfortable and relatively robust. The Exped air valves are very easy to use and its great value.
I have owned both the Thermarest Neo Air and two POE mats. The POE mats have completely failed and went back, the neo air generally good though some problems after two years. I think Exped, therefore, can offer an great alternative and this mat with its weight, price and comfort is really good. It performed well over eight nights in Canada's Artic north.
You can bolster its warmth by putting a light pad under. I use a multi-mat pad at an additional 100 grams.
