The Exped Air Pillow is a small weight sacrifice that will give you a comfortable place to rest your head. A good night's sleep really is worth it.
There are two valves on the pillow, one for inflation and the other for deflation. Both valves are fast and it should take no more than three good blows to inflate. Thought has gone into the design of this pillow, the whole thing is slightly wedge shaped providing a gentle ramp on which to rest the head whilst the depression in the middle actually holds you on the pillow. On either side a skin friendly, soft tricot polyester provides a good level of comfort.

Exped Air Pillow Review

Fantastic service from Facewest as usual, prompt service and great communications. I bought this pillow as I have a neck disorder and I use it on my home bed as well as in the Caravan and I must say it is great. I sleep like a baby as most of my sleep is on my back but sleeping on my side is ok too. I will give this five stars, my only concern is the robustness of the pillow but it comes with a good patching system and glue so if it fails at least I can repair it providing I have have the kit with me.

I recently purchased this for mountain marathons and light camping trips. I have already used it a few times and it is superb. Very light and inflates in two breaths. The fact that it is not a uniform shape means that you can get a comfortable position whether you are a side or back-sleeper. It is well-made and the surface for your cheek is comfortable. You can inflate fully if you want a firm pillow or with less air for a softer and more comfortable feel. This has transformed my camping experience as it makes a good night’s sleep much more likely.

I had always just used some spare clothes in a stuff sac in the past but decided to venture down the air pillow route for my current trip. The pillow arrived just before I left the UK and provided some much needed comfort after a long day of travelling. It seems very robust and took just a couple of puffs to inflate it. Perfect and it's stuff sac is tiny.

I can only compare this to my Montbell pillow, but despite this weighing just a few grams more, it's much, much comfier due to the curved shape around the neck and the lower middle, meaning your head doesn't just roll off (or you have to under inflate to get the pillow to hold your head in place - a problem in winter).
Separate inflate and deflate valves probably add to the weight but are easy to operate and it doesn't take long to blow it up.
