The Edelrid Osprey is a tough rope for cragging, top roping and big walls. The Osprey has a thick but smooth sheath that that cobined with the Beta shield treatment gives a rope with great abrasion resistance even when subjected to lots of falls and top roping.
The Beat Shield treatment is a high quality yarn coating that protects against dirt and other harmful substances and also makes the rope resiliant to rough surfaces. The Osprey has also been Thermal stabilised which is a post-production heat curing that permanently improves the handling of the rope.
The Osprey also passes the old UIAA sharp edge test.
The Edelrid Osprey is a durable smooth rope that will really last.
