Diamir Leash Set
£17.00
A set of leashes are used when you do not have ski brakes to stop you losing your ski when your bindings release. This becomes much more important on a long tour where you cannot risk losing a ski miles from assistance. The extra security of leashes does have to be weighed against the extra risk of having your skis tied to you on a short rope during a crash. I tend to use brakes inside the ski area and leashes outside. Diamir Freeride Pro and Eagle bindings come with ski brakes as standard and leashes are an optional extra.

Diamir Leash Set Review
Reviewer: Pam Thompson, Leyland (1-1-2012)
We have just got back from skiing in Austria where it snowed heavily for the last three days. These leashes were invaluable as the snow was so thick it was easy to loose skis, as some did, spending valuable time and energy searching in deep snow. They are also much better, safer and more comfortable to wear than the clip on ones which clatter on ski boots, and are not as long.

Diamir Leash Set Review

I uses these leashes with my Eagle bindings for down hill, even though they are fitted with brakes. It gives me the security of knowing that the skis will stay with me regardless of the steepness. Also if crossing crevasse areas. I remove them for up hill travel and on the flat, as the ski brakes are adequate. The leashes are fitted very quick and easily by a larks foot on the binding and Velcro for around the leg. I would recommend them.
