Diamir Freeride Pro
£350.00
New for Winter 2010 The Diamir Freeride Pro is the latest evolution of these ever popular touring/freeride bindings.
The Diamir Freeride Pro is a lightweight freeride binding which shares the Diamir Gliding Technology system with the Diamir Eagle to give a natural gait. Full details of that feature are here.
The Freeride Pro is also designed to give superb performance downhill with redesigned toe and heel pieces. The rear platform of the Freeride Pro has been widened to give a much more stable platform. Your ski must have a minimum width of 80mm to accept the Freeride Pro but that's hardly a problem for modern skis.

The Diamir Eagle Virtual Pivot
The virtual pivot enables a more natural walking movement. This saves energy on long climbs.

Diamir Active Safety
As the binding toe piece rotates the AFD device moves in line. This massively reduces the friction that your boot can exert on the binding plate. This is a particular advantage for vibram soled boots.

Diamir Freeride Pro Review
Reviewer: James Leavesley, Birmingham (10-3-2012)
I have always wanted to explore the backcountry, but access to the best runs tends to be limited unless you like long walk-outs up to your thighs in soft snow. These Diamir bindings are so easy to switch between walk and ski mode unlike some of the other so called touring bindings that have to be removed.
I had them fitted professionally on to an existing pair of skis so I can't comment on how easy this is. The ski position is slightly higher than a normal non-backcountry binding , which takes a little getting used to. I would recommend these to anyone that wants to ski hard in difficult terrain, but that wants the flexibility to go anywhere in the mountains. They will open up a new world of skiing for you.

Diamir Freeride Pro Review
Reviewer: Alun Allcock, Dyserth (4-2-2011)
I bought these at the same time as some Black DIamond Kilowatts and find them an excellent combination. The extra width over the older Freeride bindings works really well with these fatter skis and the build quality seems to be far superior to the old ones (less cuts and rips appearing in the plastics). All in all a major improvement should you have any ski over say 80mm waist.

I purchased these to fit to some Salomon lords. First impression is very impressive. Build quality is excellent and when fixed you can barley tell the difference v's standard bindings.
