The Demon Flex-Force Lower Back guard and lumbar support is ideal protection for skiers and snowboarders pushing their limits. The 120mm wide elasticated belt really supports your lower back wothout restricting your freedom of movement. The Flex control hard shell spine protectors spread any impact over a greater area and prevent hyper extension of the spine. There are 5 flex control sections (as in the picture) on the L and XL sizes, 4 sections on the medium and 3 on the small. The whole back protector is covered in soft padding so is really comfortable to wear. The Lower Back guard is ideal for Freestyle and Backcountry skiers and snowboarders, mountain bikers, inline skaters and skateboarders. The sizing on the Lower back Guard is very flexible as you can choose how high up your back you would like the guard to go. In general if you normally take a Medium T-shirt go with a medium Lower Back Guard.

I used this back protector for a week in the Alps. Whist it did provide me with some support and saved me once when I fell on a rail, It also scooped up snow and shovelled it down my back every time I sat down! major inconvenience!
Good protection, but unless you wear your trousers by your nipples you'll get snow down your pants.
